China Mobile Ban

Recently I saw an article in famous new paper of Bangalore. The heading of article was china made mobile phones will be banned in 10 days!
The reason given was that phones don’t have proper IMEI numbers. China made phones will give 15 digit numbers instead of 16 digit number.

But the fact is that both the China mobile and Non china mobiles give 15 digit IMEI numbers when queried using *#06# code on the mobile.

Steps to find IMEI code on your mobile

1.        Ensure your phone is powered on.

2.       Return to the "idle" screen, or your "desktop". If you were in the middle of a call, end it, and clear any numbers you pressed while making that call.

3.       Press the following keys one by one: * # 0 6 #

4.      As you press on the last #, a number will appear with the title, IMEI number,

The real issue is, there approximately 1.3 crore users of china mobiles in India

What will happen to these phones after the Ban?

How many people will be able to buy another mobile?

This will be a big loss for GSM service providers.

If these mobiles were illegal and pirated then how come so many people bought these mobiles?

What is our police department doing?

Didn’t they knew about this pirated phone trading? Virtually all most all the small and big shops sold these mobiles off the shelf.

If they knew that these hand sets are going aid terrorist activities in India then they would have stopped at the beginning it self because prevention is better than cure.

Instead of preventing the sales of these pirated mobile sets at very beginning, they allowed the sales of these.

Did they take bribe from these shop owners?

Or it is clear negligence of our police department?

In real sense not these mobile hand sets are giving aid to terrorists, its our own law protectors are giving aid.
